Supreme SS12: Hide and seek

On February 23 the paper comes off the windows at Supreme once more and you will be able to line up with the five-panel crew for the chance to see with your own eyes the spring-summer collection instead of on that sodding website.

No doubt you'll be wondering how they can even consider wheeling out some of the shit that's going to be on offer, but as is usual, a few pieces will stand out. One of them for me at least is going to be this leather jacket collaboration with Schott, even if it's only to discover what makes it any different. And to find out if the fur collar comes off.

There's a couple of other bits I've got my eye on too, like the dogtooth mac.

And the Kate Moss tee? Not sure if I can see myself pulling that one off.

Kate Moss for Supreme: the big question

You might think that all these posters of Kate Moss in a Supreme t-shirt would point to the release of a new tee featuring this very image when the store reopens with its spring summer collection on February 23 (in London).

You might be right. But you might be wrong. Previous promotional flyposters have not necessarily been an indication of a forthcoming t-shirt release. One thing's for sure, the hype is well and truly building.

Girls Friday: come in Kate Upton

Early last year, about this time probably, Kate Upton uploaded a video of her "doing the Dougie" at a basketball match. The thing went viral, for obvious reasons and the rest is history.

Now she's on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue. Good a reason as any to show you that video again, as well as some of her Twitter pics. And one of Sports Illustrated's.

And as you look at these consider this. She's only 19. Which means she would have been about 17 or 18 when that Dougie video was filmed. Which means you're going to be seeing a shit load more of her.
 

Visvim Virgil Cantor Folk: new

My first thought when I saw End's email featuring these Visvim Virgil Cantor Folk was: "what can I sell to get them?" I then wondered if the combined sale of my Virgil KNGR and Armiger would raise the cash.

And therein lies the problem. It actually crossed my mind to sell two perfectly good pairs of boots, even if the KNGR are still a little tight, to get these. And then I thought: "When will it ever end?" Followed by: "They don't look as good anyway."

But they still look nice. Available, fittingly, from End.

Visvim SS12: Eastern promise

No, this isn't the same old shite that Visvim pedals out year after year while managing to double the price, because Hiroki has come home. So it's slightly different shite at double the price.

So the theme is Japanese, which means Japanesey patterns, shirts which look like shrunken karate robe, and flips flops with massive great elevated wooden soles.

And a Japanese photoshoot from Sense magazine. At least they didn't have to go far this time.

PS: Visvim fans who might be new readers should note that while I mention the word 'shite' I use the term loosely and am a fan myself. So much in fact that by the end of the season I might even be swanning around in a karate robe.

The Bourne Legacy: the other one

A Bourne film without Matt Damon? For a minute there I feared we were treading James Bond territory, where he gets reincarnated periodically and then I realised, this is a Bourne film without Matt Damon because it is a Bourne film without Jason Bourne.

Yes, there was more than one renegade super-trooper after Project Treadstone, and Jeremy Renner is he.

And to be fair, Renner has seen more action that Damon did before Bourne - he was the sniper in 28 Weeks Later and also the bomb disposal loonie in the Hurt Locker, among other gung-ho roles.
